ITINERARY:
In the morning on Jan 5, 2018 I am leaving Vista in a rented car from AVIS for the San Diego airport. I take a Delta plane from San Diego to Atlanta. There I wait some 3 hours for another Delta plane to Cayman Islands. In the evening I land on the Grand Cayman Island. A taxi takes me to my “Holiday Inn Resort.”
Next two days I stayed in my hotel area. The temperatures are quite low, there is high wind and the sun is covered by clouds. On Monday Jan 8 I take a free bus to downtown George Town and from there a local bus (van) to go around the eastern part of the Grand Cayman Island for US$ 8.50. I notice the reef. The following day I again stayed in my hotel due to not great weather. On Wednesday, Jan 10, I took two buses (vans). One to go to so called West Bay and the other to Cayman Kai. With that I took all major highways of the island. I finished it buy 4:30 PM. Then a hotel bus took me back to my hotel. On Thursday, Jan 11, I spent the day at the hotel pool. I was rather cool, but OK and I did some sun tanning.
On Jan 12 noon I take a taxi to the airport. Here I board a plane in midafternoon to Atlanta and from there a take a flight to San Diego. However, there was a fog in San Diego and our plane landed in Phoenix, Arizona. From there to Los Angeles and by bus to San Diego. In San Diego I rented a car from AVIS and drove home to Vista, where at 5:30 AM Jan 13. That ended my Cayman Islands trip.
