CY-03 Cyprus and Lebanon with Fischer, travel agency
Date of travel: July 3 – July 17, 2003
ITINERARY:
On July 3 early morning drive to Prague airport. Then flight to Larnaka, CYPRUS for a 14 days stay. While there I did sightseeing of Larnaka by myself. I also went to the beech with its warm water number of times. I took 3 trips by bus with the Czech and Slovak guides over the Greek part of the island (on July 5 a trip took me to quite high Troodos Mountains with the Kykkos Monastery, on July 8 another one to southwest part of the island with the city of Lemassol, ancient city of Kourion, archeological dicks Paphos and a place, where Aphrodite emerged from the sea and a trip to the Greek part of the capital Nicosia).
In the evening on July 11 I boarded a ship at Lemassol harbor for an overnight sailing to Beirut, LEBANON. The following day the passengers of this ship had a sightseeing trip to an ancient city of Byblos with a Crusaders’ Castle about 40 km north of Beirut, to the steep mountains above the coast, to the famous Jeita Grotto with its pallet of stalactites and stalagmites and all this was crowned by a visit of Beirut itself. It was a peaceful day, day which is not as peaceful every day there. The ship took us back to Cyprus the following night. I signed for this trip while in Cyprus.
