IA-80 INSIDE ASIA TRIP Date of travel: Nov 11 - Dec 14, 1980 ITINERARY: Flight from Los Angeles via San Francisco, Honolulu, Manila to SINGAPORE: (3.5 days: sightseeing of Singapore Island both with the tour and individually with visit to an art gallery, botanical gardens and under heavy machinery vanishing Chinatown, a half a day sailing on a Chinese junk to a small island off Singapore), MALAYSIA: (one afternoon visit to Johor Baru from the Singapore Island), flight from Singapore to SRI LANKA: (2 days: with a day trip from Colombo to Kandy in the heart of the island and another day trip from Colombo along the shore to Bentota Beach Resort), flight to INDIA: (9 days with flights between cities: sightseeing Madras with a trip to rock carvings from around 700 AD in Mahabalipuram, sightseeing Bombay and a boat trip to Elephanta Island with caves and carvings from 450 to 750 AD, Srinagar in Kashmir with a night in a houseboat on Lake Dal, sightseeing Delhi with Indian largest mosque Jama Masjid, Red Fort and Rajghat, place where Ghandi was cremated, sightseeing Jaipur with a night in a maharaja palace and an elephant ride to Amber Fort, Agra with Taj Mahal, Red Fort and a bus trip to Fatehpur Sikri built by Mughal Emperor Akbar as his new capital, but it was soon abandoned, sightseeing Benares now Varanasi with a boat ride on the Hindu holy Ganges River), flight to NEPAL: (3 days: sightseeing the capital Katmandu, the most colorful city Patan and a trip to a view of Mt.
