T-02 - Trip to Tunisia with Fischer Travel Office Date of travel: May 7 - May 21, 2002 ITINERARY: On May 7 flight from Prague, Czech Republic via Malta to Monastir, TUNISIA. Accommodation in a hotel in the city of Sousse. During two weeks in this country I visited and did sightseeing in: Sousse, El Jem (a Roman coliseum), Gafsa, Tozeur, Lake Chott El Jerid, Douz (a camel ride), Matmata, underground living, Kairouan, the Tunisia capital Tunis (with Bardo Museum), excavations of Cartridge, Mahdia, Cap Afrique (from which the whole continent of Africa got its name), Monastir, Hammamet, Nabeul, Cap Bon with a Roman quarry of sandstone Ghar el Kebir (a cave) and Portel Kataoui. On May 21 flight from Monastir via a Tunisian island of Jerba back to Prague.
